This keyboard is one of the better feeling (non-mechanical) keyboards I own, with fast and accurate key response. It is similar to a high end laptop keyboard, with a slightly smaller than average key layout and springy feedback. I can type significantly faster with this keyboard then I can with the other wireless keyboards I own due to the response of the keys. Unfortunately the touch pad kind of sucks.
The Gatekeeper is a simple device to lock and unlock a computer based on proximity to the USB receiver. It works well enough.
My DLP Projector did not have enough HDMI ports to support my devices and a switcher was the solution. Now I do not have to constantly unplug and fiddle with wires to get my PC, game system or computer connected to my projector. Switching sources is as easy as pushing a button on the device itself or using the remote.
The Kingyou Bluetooth headphones are a nice package, with good looks and decent audio quality. What I like about this set compared to other Bluetooth headphones I own is that the actual earbud part is normal sized. This means they fit better and are overall more comfortable to wear. It is worth noting that the strange hanging control boxes were a bit odd to get used to at first, but since the weight is evenly distributed between ears I quickly forgot about them.
I’m not a singer, so I have only tested this mic while speaking. In terms of build quality, the microphone is well made with a solid metal body but the shock mount feels a little cheap because it is made out of plastic. The kit includes an XLR to 3.5mm cable, a metal pop filter, the shock mount and an adapter for mic stands.
After a week of playing with the S7 Edge, I’ve decided that I’m going to keep my LG for now. Even as a professional photographer the difference in the rear camera is not noticeable enough that I want to move to Samsung. Perhaps it was all the hype that played it up, or perhaps it was something else, but while I was impressed with the camera on this phone I wasn’t blown out of the water.
The Solove battery pack is a great piece of equipment with a huge capacity and excellent build. I would recommend this battery bank for someone who likes travelling multiple days without access to mains power or wants a battery bank that’ll charge a phone or a tablet multiple times. It’s not a pocket friendly charger but it would go great in a backpack or for camping.
The Satechi Bluetooth gamepad has a similar look and feel to an Xbox controller. The button action is springy and the response of the triggers is great. I tested the controller with some playstation emulators and it worked great. After mapping the keys in the application it was just like playing the game on a real console.
The OVEVO Bluetooth headphones look great and the cable is the perfect length to not interfere while exercising. Unfortunately they are marred by poor audio quality that is heavily weighted towards treble. Forget any bass, it’s just a dull, uninspired blip in the background. Perhaps it’s sample variation, but unfortunately my copy just won’t work for me.
Tech deal alert!
The Sony A7, one of their older full frame mirrorless cameras, is currently selling for $398.00 USD at Adorama. This is a fantastic camera and an excellent bargain, especially if you can grab yourself a kit with the RODE mic included. Good luck!
Note: as of now, the items are no longer available to add to cart. You may have better luck than I did!
